Annie, queen of Annieland, dream pixie, high priestess of the hoop, and my sister forever, recently celebrated a birthday. Her traditional gift is the coolest pair of earrings to be found, like these or these or these, but due to current...in-between-jobsness, it's homemade gifts all around!
Due to current stamp obsession, that means an Annieland logo stamp mounted on a witch-ay scrap of ebony.
This is my first attempt at creating a positive stamped image, and it was very satisfying. A bit wonky & much messier, but very satisfying. I was hoping to find Annie the sparkliest galactic stardust stamp-pads ever made, the ink equivalent of Nars eyeshadows. I called Paper Source & the sweet girl there gently informed me that there's really no such thing, but this "Lightning Black" has some awesome black-gold sparkly danger happening.
lovely! i adore the color.

Dear Alison,
Thanks so much! Your blog is so graceful, & I love what you said about not knowing what you would have done without your camera, your moleskine, or your readers. I'm very new to all this, but I feel that already- gratitude, & wonder. Thanks!

Thanks, Michael! I hope she likes it, too.
Your post on succulents made me want to run out & adopt all the baby succulents I can find...
