I've been fixing up my little apartment- painting the bedroom (which is really just 1/2 of the kitchen), rearranging things, general prettification- and decided a soon-to-be fancy home deserved a fancy address stamp.
Hmm...I'm noticing that a lot of my projects are done to encourage myself to complete other projects. In less charitable moods I might call this procrastination.
No. Let's call it well-roundedness.
These little flowers are based on the flowers on my banner, but as you can see on the actual stamp, there were originally many more, much more delicate flowers in the design. Sadly, my carving skills are not yet up to such dainty work. Though I'm excited to use this stamp, it was a bit frustrating. I used to always steer clear of crafts like this because I really, really don't like my handwriting. Give me a schmancy pen, & I can write a few words prettily enough, but the rest of the time- hopeless.
Make peace with your handwriting, make peace with yourself, perhaps?
Linoleum blocks & red ink from Flax, scrap walnut I had on hand.
